Nic has just come back from doing a off piste ski tour in the Chamonix valley. I didn’t even know the full extent of what Nic was planning, until he came in for a training session and told me what he had done at the weekend. He said at one point the mountain was un skiable so he had to abseil down in his ski boots, with his ski’s on his back.
Nic is planning to do a half marathon in Switzerland. This is no ordinary half; it is 13 miles of pure uphill running. So it seems that now I have got Nic fit and of a healthy weight he seems determined to make himself suffer doing extreme sports. He says it is a much better way to go than dying from over eating on burgers.
